Is Smiling and Laughing Causing Wrinkles
For years we all used to believe that laughter causing wrinkles, as the main hypothesize was that the more we move our facial muscles the more wrinkles we create. But the truth is finally out there for all of us to discover – laughter is good for us and good for our skin’s health. How so? Let’s see why laughing is healthy and performs as a natural skin care method.
Exercising Strengthening the Muscles
Every exercise strengthening the specific muscles we work on each workout. Meaning, the more we move our facial muscles the stronger they become. It only makes sense. So every time we laugh our facial muscles become stronger, which also means that the muscles will hold still longer rather than fall down due to aging and gravity.
Muscles’ Flexibility
Every time we work on a muscle we also increase its flexibility. Meaning, every time we smile or laugh we stretch the facial muscles and by doing so we increase its flexibility. With age we actually lose our muscles’ flexibility, including the facial ones, and that’s what causing wrinkles (among other reasons), and exercising it will restore its flexibility and reduce wrinkles appearance.
Better Circulation
A lot has been said about improving blood circulation and its benefit to our skin as a natural skin care. Now, laughing is like other muscles exercising – it increase blood flow to the face and its skin, allowing it to enjoy more oxygen, which helps rejuvenate our skin.
Of course that laughing is not going to cut it, if we want to maintain healthy and beautiful skin. We also need to wash and clean our face and neck on a regular basis, about twice a day, apply products that are suited for our skin’s type and keep it moist as much as we can.
At the bottom line, “working” our faces is good both for its muscles and the skin, almost as any other work out – we need that laughter whenever we get the chance to laugh, so stay happy, stay positive and keep laughing as much as you can – after all, it’s good for us!
